I loved the series, and the art :) I wouldn't have wanted McDonnell to take over Superman, for example, but I thought his art fit the tone of this series very well back when I was buying it off the rack at my local newsroom. I have a decent batch of back issues now, and I intend to re-purchase the whole run some day soon.
Great ad for a series that never interested me. Never been into gov't-sponsored teams.

ReplyDeleteI actually like McDonnell a lot more now than I did then...especially on JLDetroit.
