A Look At The Jack Kirby Omnibus Volume #2

"Collecting more of Jack Kirby’s epic tales from the 1970s and 1980s starring The Sandman, The Justice League, Atlas and many more."

Reprints BLACK MAGIC #1-9, 1ST ISSUE SPECIAL #1, 5 and 6, KUNG FU FIGHTER #3, THE SANDMAN #1-6, DC COMICS PRESENTS #84, SUPER POWERS VOL.1 #1-5 and SUPER POWERS VOL. 2 #1-6, and KOBRA #1.
624 Pages of Omnibus Fun!

Overall, not a bad book from the price point of $40US. It's a glued binding, which is a bit disappointing given the size of this volume. And keep in mind, the paper quality is relatively poor, it's not the DC archives quality, but has a newsprint look and feel. It's the same as all the other Kirby Omnibus volumes. Oddly, I actually prefer that look over the over white of the archives, especially for Kirby's art.

  1. I also like the look and feel of newsprint for comic book reprints.

Much as I love the King, I feel a lot of the stuff in Volume 2 was past his expiration date. Sad to say!
